About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for driving a Class 5 truck and trailer unit, transporting aggregate and heavy machinery to and from various sites. Your daily tasks will include tipping off materials, jack-knifing, and completing running spreads as needed. Given the nature of the work, you will also be expected to assist with laboring tasks as required.
To be successful in this position, you should have at least one year of experience driving Class 5 trucks within the civil construction industry. Proficiency in using a road ranger gearbox and strong reversing skills are essential.
Job Specifics
- Class 5 driving (Road Ranger gearbox)
- Aggregate transporting and heavy machinery
- Hourly rate: $28 - $35
Job Requirements
- Full Class 5 NZ driver’s license
- Competency in reversing, tipping, and jack-knifing
- Ability to operate machinery as indicated
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Previous Class 5 driving experience, supported by two references
