About the Role
We are currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team. This role encompasses responsibilities across the Spectrum Foundation and its subsidiaries, including Spectrum Care and Homes of Choice. We believe this position is ideal for someone who has recently graduated, is on the verge of completing their Chartered Accountant qualification, and is eager to make a meaningful impact in the not-for-profit sector. Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will assist in managing our financial operating systems and preparing monthly financial management reports. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining the fixed asset register in accordance with Spectrum Care's policy, preparing year-end accounts, and overseeing the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
You will ensure that our audit, assurance, and risk management practices comply with statutory requirements, and you will engage in financial modeling for revenue and cost inputs. A critical part of your role will be to analyze business results, comment on trends, and develop and maintain costing and pricing models to inform management decisions. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to manage and oversee the finance systems of the Spectrum Foundation.
Requirements
We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- A finance-related qualification and CA ANZ Qualification or equivalent
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a large organization
- Proven capabilities in operations planning, financial analysis, modeling, and problem-solving
- Experience in auditing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine interest in financial management and compliance, along with commercial and business awareness
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Familiarity with Business Central and Workday Adaptive is advantageous
- A collaborative team spirit
