About the Role We are seeking a Group Controller to become an integral part of our Finance Leadership team. This role is essential for bringing thought leadership and strategic thinking to our finance operations. As the Group Controller, you will champion a focus on continuous improvement while overseeing a compliant and efficient finance function that encompasses financial operations, accounting and reporting, taxation, and ESG reporting. In this position, you will serve as a trusted business partner to the CFO and engage closely with the Executive team. You will facilitate the Board Audit and Risk Committee and maintain strong relationships with our external auditors. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with our tax risk strategy, leading the month-end process, and preparing group financial statements and CFIS reporting. Additionally, you will manage finance operations processes such as Payroll, Accounts Payable, non-retail Accounts Receivable, and Settlements, as well as handle inquiries from Treasury, FMA, and ASIC. You will also be responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient, and timely ESG reporting requirements. Requirements We are looking for a world-class Group Controller who has a proven track record in senior finance roles within large, complex organizations, ideally in a publicly listed company. You should have experience in change and transformation environments, demonstrated leadership abilities, and excellent relationship-building skills. Experience with large system implementation projects will be highly regarded.
