sKids was established in 1996 by two parents who envisioned a structured out of school care service for primary-aged children. Today, we are proud to be New Zealand’s favorite destination for children, welcoming over 3,800 tamariki every day across more than 170 school sites. About the Role
We are seeking a casual/reliever team member to provide staff coverage and assist with the daily supervisory care and program delivery. In this role, you will manage communication with parents and the school, as well as support your fellow team members.
This position requires a commitment of at least 6 hours per week, primarily during the after-school program hours. There may also be opportunities to work during the before-school program hours.
The working schedule is as follows:
After school: Between 2:30 PM and 6:00 PM
Before school: 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM
Additionally, there are holiday program hours available for those interested in longer shifts.
Location of Work
The successful candidate will need to work at the following sites: Holy Cross Miramar, St Francis De Sales, Newtown, Newlands, and Boulcott. Access to a vehicle is preferred.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who possesses:
- A strong passion for working with children aged 5-12 and inspiring them to develop their confidence and authenticity
- Previous experience in working with children or in the childcare/education sector
- Experience in organizing before and after school programs, which is highly beneficial
- Excellent communication skills, as you will be the primary liaison between sKids and parents
- A strong ability to collaborate as part of a team
- A valid New Zealand work or student visa, or be a New Zealand resident or citizen
Please note that, in compliance with Social Security (Childcare Assistance) Regulations 2004, only applicants aged 20 years or older will be considered for this role.
