About the Company
sKids was established in 1996 by two parents who aimed to create a structured out of school care service for primary-aged children. Today, we have become New Zealand's most beloved children's hangout, serving over 3,800 tamariki daily across more than 170 school sites. About the Role
We are seeking a casual/reliever staff member to provide support at our sKids Boulcott and Newlands sites. In this role, you will supervise and assist children during program activities. It will be your responsibility to maintain a clean, tidy, hygienic, and safe environment for all children, staff, parents, and visitors at all times.
You will also assist the Programme Manager in running the daily schedule as outlined in your task list. Additionally, you will report any concerns regarding child behavior or other issues back to the Programme Manager.
Hours of Work
This is a casual employment position with hours scheduled on an "as required" basis, Monday through Friday. Successful candidates will not have guaranteed minimum or maximum hours. The potential hours include:
- Before school: 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM (if required)
- After school: starting at 2:30 PM
Location of Work: Boulcott & Newlands
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should meet the following criteria:
- Hold a valid visa to work in New Zealand without restrictions
- Have reliable transportation, ideally a vehicle, to commute to the specified sites
- Possess a keen interest in working within similar industries
- Have prior experience working with children, which may include babysitting or volunteer work
