Tradestaff Christchurch is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for skilled carpenters to join our team, with a particular focus on commercial projects. We are seeking individuals who have the right experience and are interested in long-term employment with us.
About the Role
In this position, you will be engaged in a variety of commercial carpentry tasks, primarily focusing on formwork and framing at the outset. Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing carpentry work on commercial builds
- Ensuring full compliance with New Zealand building codes and safety protocols
- Working autonomously or as part of a team to meet project timelines
- Effectively problem-solving on-site to maintain client satisfaction
- Collaborating with other trades and team members on new construction projects
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Ideally, hold a Level 4 Certificate in Carpentry
- Have commercial carpentry experience with a solid track record of working on large-scale commercial projects
- Possess your own carpentry tools and reliable transport
- Be able to provide us with two working references
- Thrive in a team environment with strong communication and collaboration skills
- Be capable of passing a drug and alcohol test
