About the Role We are currently seeking a skilled Leading Hand / Supervisor to join our dedicated concrete construction team in Christchurch. In this role, you will be responsible for managing teams, interpreting construction plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality formwork and carpentry across a variety of commercial projects. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys collaborating with a close-knit team. Requirements - Trade qualified carpenter - Proven leadership and supervisory experience - Proficiency with hand and power tools - Strong knowledge of formwork systems - Full Class 1 driver's license and reliable transport - Ability to read and interpret construction plans - Good physical fitness and a strong commitment to health and safety - Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe certification (assistance can be provided) - Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test - All applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand What You Will Be Doing - Leading small site teams and delegating daily tasks - Reading and interpreting detailed construction plans - Installing various types of formwork, including steel, plastic, and timber - Performing carpentry work, including framing and general construction - Proactively solving onsite challenges - Ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards Benefits - Competitive pay ranging from $35.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on experience - Immediate start available - Monday to Friday work schedule with no weekend commitments - A strong, safety-focused team culture - Ongoing work opportunities for the right candidate - Support from an experienced, people-first crew Why Choose Max People?
