About the Role We are currently seeking a skilled Hammerhand to join our team in Wellington. This casual position offers a competitive hourly rate with potential for overtime, as well as opportunities for on-the-job training. You will play a vital role in supporting our construction projects and ensuring the successful delivery of our client’s services. What You'll Be Doing In this role, you will assist skilled tradespeople with a variety of construction tasks. Your responsibilities will include performing general labor duties such as material handling, site clean-up, and tool maintenance. You will be expected to follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Collaboration with the team will be essential as you work together to find efficient solutions to challenges that arise on the job. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to continually learn and develop your skills, becoming a valuable asset to our company. What We're Looking For We are looking for candidates with previous experience as a Hammerhand or in a similar construction laboring role. Ideal candidates should possess good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks safely and effectively. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work is essential. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are important for collaborating with tradespeople and other site personnel. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. We also value a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
