About the Role
We are currently seeking an Anatomical Pathologist to join our team at Health New Zealand, Te Tai Tokerau. In this role, you will provide laboratory and consultative services in Anatomical Pathology. The position offers a varied and stimulating caseload, encompassing general pathology, dermatopathology, gastrointestinal (GIT), urogenital, head and neck, and breast pathology. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in performing occasional frozen sections.
As part of your professional development, and depending on accreditation and service needs, this position may also allow for engagement in performing coronial autopsies.

About the Team/Location
Our established team of four pathologists provides comprehensive service coverage across the Northland region. The area is known for its warm climate and is often referred to as the "winterless north." In addition to affordable housing and excellent schools, the region boasts scenic coastal areas with a variety of recreational activities. We are conveniently located just a two-hour drive or a 25-minute flight from Auckland, New Zealand's international hub.

About You
To be considered for this position, you must have or be eligible for specialist or locum tenens registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in a Pathology Vocational scope of practice. Ideally, you will have completed a Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or possess an equivalent qualification.
