About the Company Tradestaff Global is looking for skilled tradespeople to join our team at McMurdo Station in Antarctica for the Summer of 2025/26. This unique opportunity involves deployments from approximately October 2025 through March 2026. About the Role We are seeking dedicated team players for various construction roles. Working in Antarctica is unlike any other experience, and we need individuals who are prepared to contribute on the tools and support their colleagues. You will be involved in a large commercial construction project, and we require a wide range of construction and building expertise, including: - Commercial Plumbers with a current Certifying Licence - HVAC Technicians - Duct Installers - Commercial Electricians with a current NZ Practising Licence - Pipe Welders with a current ASME 9 Ticket - Pipe Fitters - Qualified Commercial Carpenters/Builders (Trade Qualified) What’s on Offer? Additional requirements include: - Willingness to receive vaccinations for Flu, Tdap, and MMR - Acceptance of long-term deployment; these roles are not “fly in, fly out” - Availability for long hours, six days a week - Compliance with pre-employment medical and dental checks, as well as security clearance - Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test - Possession of a Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence and a clean criminal record - Patience throughout the lengthy application process - Readiness to travel to Tauranga for medical and dental exams; we cover testing and flight costs for those traveling from outside the Bay of Plenty What Now?
