This role provides an excellent opportunity to explore different workplaces while enjoying a range of shifts that can accommodate your other commitments. As a Night Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of the premises during nighttime hours. Key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring the safety and security of the premises, occasionally taking sole charge. - Assisting residents and patients with any overnight needs or requests. - Performing light cleaning and tidying duties to maintain a comfortable environment. - Monitoring building systems and reporting any issues. - Handling overnight deliveries or communications. - Providing a reassuring presence and serving as a point of contact during the night. - Completing necessary reports or logs. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need the following: - A current First Aid Certificate. - Experience in a similar role, such as a night porter, security personnel, or first responder. - A full, clean New Zealand driver's licence. - A responsible and reliable nature. - The ability to work independently and occasionally be in sole charge of a facility. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - A proactive approach to ensuring safety and addressing the needs of residents. - Basic awareness of health and safety procedures. - A calm and professional attitude, particularly during quieter hours. - Reliability and a commitment to ensuring a peaceful night.
