About the Role We are pleased to announce multiple openings for the position of IKEA Business Risk & Compliance Co-worker. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to risk prevention and compliance, including: - Acting as the friendly first point of contact for visitors, contractors, and co-workers while managing access to and from the store. - Providing administrative support for compliance tasks, such as audits, incident reporting, and database management. - Monitoring CCTV, conducting investigations, and responding to alarms, as well as initiating emergency procedures when necessary. - Ensuring compliance with IKEA and local guidelines to protect our assets and uphold the IKEA brand. - Assisting with emergency response and management of safety incidents. - Fostering a Risk & Compliance culture by promoting leadership and implementing systems to detect and mitigate business risks. - Collaborating with internal stakeholders to maintain health, safety, and security standards across all departments. - Performing administrative tasks, including invoicing, accounts receivable, and data reporting. - Evaluating store performance through key metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. - Analyzing operational processes to support ongoing goal tracking. Requirements The ideal candidate for the IKEA Business Risk & Compliance Co-worker role will possess the following qualifications and attributes: - A valid Security license and First Aid & CPR certifications, or the willingness to obtain them. - A strong customer focus, ensuring that customer needs are prioritized in all activities. - A commitment to creating a safe and secure working environment and leading by example. - Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and provide clear instructions during emergencies. - Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to ad hoc requests while fulfilling daily responsibilities. - Experience with computers and IT systems, and the ability to complete administrative and reporting tasks within deadlines. - Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members. - A proactive, problem-solving mindset focused on continuous improvement. What You Need to Know - The work location for this role will be our Sylvia Park store and our external warehouse in Mangere. - We are recruiting for two permanent part-time positions with the following working hours available: 60-79 hours per fortnight and 20-39 hours per fortnight. - The internal title for this role is IKEA Business Risk & Compliance Co-worker. - The expected start date for this position is October 5, 2025. - The recruitment process will begin with an application form, and successful candidates will be notified via email. - A pre-employment check, including an MOJ police check, will be required for final candidates. - Our store operates seven days a week, so you must be available to work a rotating roster that includes a mix of day and evening shifts, as well as three out of four weekends each month (both Saturday and Sunday). - Applications close on August 4, 2025. - IKEA Sylvia Park is a non-smoking workplace. - Please note that car parking will not be provided; we encourage all co-workers to utilize public transport whenever possible.
