About the Role
We are currently seeking a Customer Services Officer to join our team in a part-time capacity, working 16 hours per week. This role is incredibly dynamic, with no two days being the same. You will be the first point of contact for our community, addressing inquiries related to water, drainage, roads, rates, dog registration, kerbside bins, and other services our Council offers.
If you are passionate about delivering excellent customer service and thrive in a fast-paced call center environment, we would love to have you on board. Your primary responsibility will be handling inquiries via phone, email, online platforms, and social media, ensuring that every interaction is professional, approachable, and solution-oriented.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Customer Focused: A strong background in customer service with at least 12 months of call center experience.
- Tech-savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new applications.
- Excellent Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey information clearly and concisely.
- Organised: Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and community members.
This is a permanent part-time role, with hours scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays. There may also be opportunities to take on additional shifts to cover leave and busy periods.

Starting salaries will be determined by the knowledge, skills, and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, as well as internal relativities within the team and the broader organization.
