We are committed to supporting individuals in their professional journeys, and our new Ireland Exchange Programme offers an exciting opportunity for New Zealand-based farm workers and eligible backpackers to gain international experience in dairy farming. About the Role We are currently seeking young Kiwis, aged 18-30, to work on family-run farms in Ireland during the busy spring calving season. This role provides a unique chance to immerse yourself in the rich culture and stunning landscapes of Ireland while developing your farming skills. You will be involved in various farm activities, including milking 100 to 250 cows, calf rearing, animal health management, and general farm maintenance. The typical work schedule involves up to 60 hours per week on a roster during peak times. In addition to a competitive hourly wage of €13.50 (approximately NZD $26-27), we offer accommodation and two meals per day. We also provide airport pickup upon arrival, local orientation, assistance with banking and tax setup, and ongoing pastoral care during your stay. Requirements To be considered for this opportunity, you should have a minimum of one year of hands-on dairy farming experience, including milking. Experience with calving is highly desirable. You should be confident in handling stock, machinery, and general farm duties. Additionally, you must meet the Irish visa and health requirements, including a clean record, being drug-free, and being fit for work. We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals who are eager to learn new systems and enhance their global experience.
