About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team, providing specialist psychological assessment and treatment to individuals as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This role is crucial in supporting the management team to maintain and develop the Strengths Model Recovery Approach within the Mental Health and Addiction Service.
The position is divided between the Adult Community Mental Health and Addiction Service and the Infant Child and Adolescent Service (ICAMHS), both located on the Timaru Hospital campus on Queen Street, Timaru.
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting assessments, including psychometric and neuropsychological evaluations. You will be skilled in developing clinical formulations and providing advice on effective interventions, as well as establishing methods for evaluating treatment efficacy.
We require you to be registered with the Psychology Board of New Zealand and hold a relevant Annual Practicing Certificate (APC). Competency in te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori is essential, or a commitment to beginning this journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth. Experience in projects or initiatives that uphold the principles of Te Tiriti and apply Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches in healthcare settings is also necessary.

Salary Range
This role is governed by the terms and conditions of the APEX Collective Agreement and will be compensated in accordance with the pay scale, depending on relevant experience.
