About the Role
We are currently seeking a trained and qualified counsellor to join our expanding counselling and pastoral network. This full-time, fixed-term position will start on 14 July 2025 and conclude on 5 December 2025, covering a maternity leave.
The ideal candidate will possess full provisional membership with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and have experience working in educational settings or with adolescents. We are looking for someone who is passionate about fostering the development of young men, is capable of maintaining connections with external agencies, and is committed to contributing to the broader life of the school community.
In this role, you will lead a team of two counsellors and work closely with the Deputy Headmaster to oversee and enhance pastoral care and wellbeing systems that address the needs of our school community.
Requirements
- Full provisional NZAC membership
- Experience working in schools or with adolescents
- Passion for developing young men
- Ability to maintain relationships with external agencies
- Commitment to the wider life of the school
