About the Role
We are looking for Construction Technicians who are organized and trustworthy, with a strong focus on delivering results. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that align with your skills and capabilities. Flexibility to work at different locations throughout the country is preferred, as you may be asked to assist with projects in various regions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing tasks in accordance with project requirements and company standards
- Erecting scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Creating structures, forms, or chutes and pouring concrete
- Covering subfloors with building paper and laying hardwood, parquet, or wood-strip-block floors
- Filling cracks or defects in plaster or plasterboard and sanding patches
- Positioning and securing steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms
- Performing general labor, including cleaning construction sites as needed
- Loading and unloading building materials, tools, and equipment
- Carrying out any other duties as assigned
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Some experience in the construction industry is preferable, but not essential
- A friendly demeanor with strong time management skills and a solid work ethic
- A commitment to learning and developing skills within the industry
- Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
Benefits
This position offers a competitive pay range from $25.00 to $32.00 per hour, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work weekly.
Location
As a Construction Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in various locations throughout New Zealand, including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
This role is a permanent and full-time position.
