About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Fire Equipment Technician to join our team on a fixed-term contract for six months, covering medical leave. In this role, you will be an integral part of our operations in the Wellington region, responsible for surveying, servicing, and selling fire equipment and related products to both existing and prospective customers.
Your role will also include maintaining and developing strong customer relationships, ensuring that all work performed meets our high-quality standards. We are looking for someone who is not only skilled but also passionate about the fire protection industry and committed to upholding the standards that Argus Fire is known for.
Your Background
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety systems
- Familiarity with NZS 4503 standards
- A well-presented and highly organized demeanor
- Motivation and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team
- Reliability and a quick learning ability
- Proven relationship-building skills
- Ability to multitask and coordinate services both on-site and off-site
- Preferably, knowledge of the NZ Building Code and NZ Standards
- Strong communication and man-management skills
- Proficient computer skills
- A professional and positive attitude
- An energetic and customer-focused approach
