About the Company At Bidfresh, we pride ourselves on delivering the freshest fruit and vegetables to our customers every day. Our dedicated team is essential in ensuring that local Canterbury businesses receive high-quality produce, carefully selected, packed, and prepared for timely delivery. We are a close-knit team of approximately 60 individuals, many of whom have been with us for over five years. We are currently seeking to expand our team with a couple of new members. About the Role We are looking for full-time team members to work in our packing department on afternoons, specifically from 12:00 noon to 8:30 pm, Sunday through Thursday, and every second Friday as needed. While these are generally full-time positions, we offer the flexibility of a mid-week day off for those who prefer to work four days a week. Please note that our team does not work on Saturdays. Each new team member will receive one-on-one training to help you get acclimated to the role. However, there are a few essential requirements: - Ability to perform some lifting - Comfort working in a chilled packing environment - Familiarity with various types of produce, although we can certainly teach you the details, such as distinguishing kiwi fruit from kumara.
