Decontamination Labourer

About the Company We are a leading decontamination company operating throughout New Zealand, specializing in cleaning services tailored for residential properties. Our focus is on providing effective solutions for various contamination issues, ensuring homes are cleaned thoroughly and restored to optimal condition. About the Role We are currently seeking a Decontamination Cleaner to join our team and work directly on cleaning contracts across the South Island. This position will require some travel to job sites, which may include overnight stays, so candidates should be prepared to work away from home when necessary. The general work hours are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. However, we require flexibility, as there may be occasions where overtime or weekend work is needed. Key Responsibilities - Perform cleaning and decontamination of residential homes, involving hands-on and physical work - Complete tasks in accordance with a prepared scope of work - Adhere to all health and safety compliance guidelines as instructed Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualities: - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Willingness to work away from home for short periods - A positive, can-do attitude - Ability to take direction from an on-site team leader - Good physical health, with the capability to perform manual heavy lifting - A full New Zealand driver’s license, with the ability to drive a manual vehicle and tow or back a trailer Benefits - Competitive hourly pay rate - All personal protective equipment (PPE), uniform, and equipment provided - Potential for a permanent position for the right candidate Please note that as part of our recruitment process, candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol check as well as a Criminal history check.
