About the Company

With a team of around 600 dedicated professionals across 10 locations, we specialize in water network maintenance and the construction of reticulation renewals. We service nearly a quarter of properties nationwide and maintain over 20,000 kilometers of pipe network, which is twice the length of New Zealand's state highways. About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Water Technician to join our team in Auckland. This role involves actively maintaining water reticulation networks, either on a reactive or scheduled basis, in accordance with contract specifications. Responsibilities may include:
- Installing new water main pipes and connections.
- Repairing leaking water mains, meter connections, service pipes, and irrigation systems.
- Flushing, digging trenches, and servicing valves and hydrants.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should ideally have previous experience in maintaining sewer and/or stormwater systems or have a background in the construction and utilities industry. We are looking for someone who is willing and able to participate in the on-call and standby roster.
Physical fitness is essential, along with a strong focus on health and safety. You should be able to work well both independently and as part of a team. A full class 1 license and the ability to drive a manual vehicle are also required.
Please note that all preferred candidates will be required to complete pre-employment checks, which may include a Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
