Water Technician - Timaru

About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Water Technician to join our team in Auckland. This role involves actively maintaining water reticulation networks, either on a reactive or scheduled basis, in accordance with contract specifications. Responsibilities may include: - Installing new water main pipes and connections. - Repairing leaking water mains, meter connections, service pipes, and irrigation systems. - Flushing, digging trenches, and servicing valves and hydrants. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should ideally have previous experience in maintaining sewer and/or stormwater systems or have a background in the construction and utilities industry. We are looking for someone who is willing and able to participate in the on-call and standby roster. Physical fitness is essential, along with a strong focus on health and safety. You should be able to work well both independently and as part of a team. A full class 1 license and the ability to drive a manual vehicle are also required. Please note that all preferred candidates will be required to complete pre-employment checks, which may include a Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
