Wastewater Technician - Timaru

About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Wastewater Technician to join our team in Timaru. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining wastewater networks on both a reactive and scheduled basis according to contract specifications. Your duties may include general labor tasks such as cleaning, clearing, lifting, and other civil work. Additionally, you will be expected to use and maintain hand tools, as well as operate machinery including loaders, rollers, and trucks as needed. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should ideally have prior experience in maintaining sewer and/or stormwater systems or possess relevant experience within the construction and utilities industry. We need a candidate who is willing to participate in the on-call and standby roster. Physical fitness, a strong focus on health and safety, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team are essential. Additionally, a full Class 1 driver's license and the ability to drive a manual vehicle are required. Please note that all preferred candidates will be required to complete pre-employment checks, including a Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
