About the Role In this role, based at our Tauranga branch, you will have overall responsibility for the branch's performance, with a significant emphasis on service workshop operations. You will work closely with the Managing Director and the wider CAL Isuzu group to ensure that branch and departmental plans are delivered in alignment with our strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities You will lead and execute annual branch and departmental plans that align with the company strategy. Your responsibilities will include driving service workshop performance, managing work in progress (WIP) with a target of less than $50,000, overseeing invoicing, and ensuring profitability. You will monitor and report on financial and operational performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Providing strong technical leadership is essential, as you will be responsible for staff capability, training, and development. You will ensure efficient workshop operations, including booking, scheduling, job processing, and warranty management. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders will also be a crucial part of your role. Additionally, you will ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures. About You We are looking for candidates with proven experience in a Branch Manager, Service Manager, or senior operational role within the truck or heavy automotive industry. You should possess a strong understanding of service workshop operations, WIP management, and financial controls. A technically minded individual, you should be capable of leading and developing skilled workshop teams. You must also be commercially astute, with strong reporting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication skills and a practical, hands-on leadership style are essential.
