About the Role
We are seeking a full-time STMS (Site Traffic Management Supervisor) to join our team in Timaru, where you will be guaranteed 40 hours of work per week, with opportunities for penal rates for overtime and weekend shifts. Your primary responsibility will be to manage temporary traffic management systems, ensuring that road closures and diversions are executed safely and efficiently.
In this role, you will lead your team with confidence, conduct briefings, and mentor junior staff. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing and overseeing traffic management plans.
- Leading toolbox meetings to provide clear job expectations.
- Training and mentoring junior STMS staff.
- Ensuring the safety of the crew, subcontractors, and the public.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to be physically fit and motivated. The following qualifications are essential:
- A Full Class 2 Driver’s License.
- An STMS warrant (A/B or Level 1/2) is preferred.
- A strong commitment to safety and quality work.
- Adaptability and a willingness to take on outdoor challenges.
