About the Role As the Engineering Manager, you will lead the Engineering Maintenance department, overseeing the implementation of cutting-edge advancements in Operational Technology (OT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) within our manufacturing processes. Your primary focus will be to engage and guide your team through the installation of these improvements, utilizing your skills in Continuous Improvement to identify and implement technical projects that enhance processes, reduce costs, and increase output. Key responsibilities include: - Managing the Engineering Maintenance department and ensuring the preventive maintenance of production equipment. - Utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other AI technologies on a daily basis. - Hiring, training, mentoring, and supervising staff members to foster a collaborative team environment. - Supporting the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in delivering on capital projects. Requirements To be considered for this role, you will need: - A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Automation) or equivalent Trade Certification. - A minimum of 8 years of experience as an FMCG Engineer. - At least 2 years of experience in a food processing environment. - A minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership or managerial role. - Demonstrated experience in implementing OT projects. - A strong passion for process improvements and AI. - Valid work rights in New Zealand, including residency, citizenship, or a work visa.
