Our Christchurch distribution centre is a bustling hub where teamwork and efficiency drive our operations. We are currently looking for a dedicated individual to join our distribution team in the role of Driver/Store Person.
About the Role
In this permanent position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of our goods to customers. This is a Monday to Saturday role, with varied start times beginning as early as 4 AM, depending on business requirements.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Safely loading delivery vehicles and ensuring they depart on time.
- Delivering goods to customer sites in full and on schedule, adhering to their specific requirements.
- Maintaining the vehicle's condition to ensure it is fit for use for the next day.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring the following:
- Physical fitness, as the role involves frequent lifting of items up to 25 kg.
- A minimum Class 2 driver's license and relevant driving experience.
- An understanding of food warehousing and distribution processes.
- Experience in loading trucks for dispatch, when necessary.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently.
