    About the Company We are a reputable liquor store located in Parakai, Auckland, dedicated to providing our customers with an exceptional shopping experience. Our commitment to excellent service and compliance with regulations sets us apart in the industry. About the Role We are currently seeking a full-time Duty Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring compliance with the Sales of Alcohol legislation. You will take charge of the store in the absence of the Store Manager and effectively implement retail merchandising strategies to enhance store presentation, promotional displays, and ultimately drive sales. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing cash handling, stock management, health and safety protocols, and invoice posting in our POS system. You will be required to receive and check deliveries, conduct stocktaking as needed, and manage staff records and time sheets. Requirements We are looking for a reliable candidate with experience in the liquor store environment specific to New Zealand. A clean driver’s license or access to reliable transportation is essential, as our location is in a rural area. Candidates should be prepared to submit to regular drug testing and possess basic computer skills. We value maturity and responsibility in adhering to procedures and effectively managing challenging situations. Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering world-class customer service are crucial, along with a proven ability to build lasting rapport with customers. You must hold or be able to obtain a current Liquor Control Qualification and be physically fit, as the role involves lifting, moving, and shelving stock.
