About the Team/Service/Location
The Crisis Resolution Service is a community-based mental health service that provides acute assessment, risk formulation, and treatment, partnering with individuals, whānau, and community support networks. As a frontline service, we work closely with emergency departments, police, social services, general practitioners, and tertiary education providers. Our team assesses individuals of all ages and makes referrals to secondary services or back to primary care as needed.
Our multidisciplinary team includes nurses, doctors, social workers, and administrative staff, all working collaboratively to provide the best care possible.
About You
You will play a crucial role in our multidisciplinary team process. Within six months, you will train to become a duly authorized officer under the Mental Health Act 1992. A good sense of humor is essential to thrive in our team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Registered Social Worker with at least three years of experience in a mental health setting
- Full Driver’s License is essential
- Proficient in risk assessments and risk formulations
