    Description

About the Company At Trade Me, we are dedicated to connecting Kiwis and empowering them to create the lives they want. Whether it involves significant milestones like finding a home, securing a job, purchasing a car, or growing a business, or even smaller tasks like discovering the perfect bedside table or selling old items, our vision is to be the first place Kiwis turn to. About the Role We are looking for a skilled mobile developer to join our team, where your contributions will be crucial in providing high-quality, modern native mobile platforms, products, and enhancements for Trade Me. You will play a key role in shaping our technology roadmap and will be responsible for defining and advancing the principles of quality, stability, and supportability in software design. Your focus will be on delivering our applications with speed, quality, and care. In this role, you can expect to: - Build native applications for iOS using the latest technologies to provide our mobile users with a world-class experience. - Take innovative approaches to enhance our native mobile platforms, equipping our product teams with top-notch tools and resources. - Engage in research and development, actively investigating and proposing new ideas that keep us at the forefront of innovation. - Collaborate creatively within a dynamic team, developing exciting products for our internal customers. You will be involved in all phases of the development lifecycle, from ideation and design to user testing and beyond. - Participate in our mobile guilds, where you will have the opportunity to learn from colleagues across the company and share your expertise. - Conduct and implement functional and UI automated tests in accordance with Trade Me's quality standards. Requirements To excel in this role, you should bring the following qualifications: - A minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile development roles. - Proficiency in native iOS development using Swift or Objective-C. - Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies is preferred but not mandatory. - A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to work together. - Well-organized and comfortable with self-directed work; adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment. - Strong attention to detail, committed to enhancing our mobile experience to be faster, more reliable, and easier to maintain. - A personal drive for motivation, initiative, adaptability, and a readiness to tackle challenges. Benefits We believe you will thrive at Trade Me, and here’s why: - Flexibility: We embrace flexible working arrangements. Our guideline encourages employees to be in the office 60% of the time, allowing the rest to be flexible. We provide support for your home office setup and a utilities allowance to ensure your comfort. - Wellness: We prioritize your physical and mental well-being, offering numerous resources to support your journey towards being your best self. - Leave: We understand the importance of taking time off when needed. You will have access to 5 days of wellness leave each year and 10 days of sick leave starting from day one. - Social: We value fun and celebrate our successes together. Join us for company-paid lunches on payday, regular Friday gatherings, annual Trade Me company awards, and more. - Learning: From on-the-job training to formal education and mentoring, we are committed to supporting your growth from day one. We understand that some candidates may hesitate to apply if they do not meet every requirement. If you are excited about this opportunity, we encourage you to submit your resume along with a brief cover note explaining your interest. Trade Me is an INZ accredited employer. We truly value diversity and foster a flexible workplace where everyone is encouraged to reach their full potential.
