About the Role
We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager for our 3PL and Warehouse Solutions division to join our growing team. This is a fixed-term contract for 3 to 6 months, focused on winning new business, with the potential for future opportunities. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
In this role, you will be a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in acquiring new business and managing accounts. You will thrive on building lasting client relationships, driving sales, and leveraging your commercial expertise. Ideally, you will have a strong network within the warehouse and 3PL storage sector, particularly in FMCG, or possess a complementary background as a talented new business professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Growth: Identify new opportunities and convert leads into revenue within the FMCG 3PL and warehouse storage sectors.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring their business needs are met.
- Account Management: Manage client accounts with exceptional care, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Networking: Utilize industry connections to expand business opportunities.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies that align with company objectives.
- Commercial Insight: Analyze market trends and competitor activity to maximize profitability.
Candidates with a background in Warehouse Operations who have transitioned into sales and account management roles are also encouraged to apply.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in sales and account management, preferably within the 3PL or logistics sector.
- A strong network of industry contacts in warehouse and logistics solutions.
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
