About the Role We are seeking a Business Development Manager who will play a crucial role in driving our growth and success. This position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating and maintaining robust client relationships, and developing strategic plans to enhance our market presence. The Business Development Manager will conduct market research, negotiate contracts, and work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment with company goals. By fostering partnerships, securing deals, and identifying innovative solutions, this role is critical in ensuring sustainable growth and maintaining a competitive edge in the marketplace. Key Responsibilities The Business Development Manager will be tasked with new business development across the services offered by Fliway Air & Ocean, in alignment with defined KPIs and targets. This includes a comprehensive range of activities from lead development and active sales calls to account management and quoting. Additionally, the role involves engaging with the Fliway Domestic Sales team to identify cross-selling opportunities. Achieving and exceeding revenue targets in line with business guidance is essential. The successful candidate will also be responsible for formulating and presenting Fliway RFQ/RFI responses to the market or customers, leading and enhancing the services offered by Fliway Air & Ocean, and collaborating with the Customer Services Manager and operations team on account management strategies. Regular reporting on the New Business Pipeline will be required, as well as creating and executing strategic account plans for both new and existing customers. What We Offer This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, based in Auckland. What You Bring The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development, sales, or a similar role, typically with 3-5 years of experience in the Freight Forwarding or Logistics industry. You should demonstrate the ability to build and maintain long-term client and partner relationships, as well as experience in developing and executing business growth strategies. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, combined with strong written and oral communication abilities, are essential. Advanced computer skills are required, along with proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving capabilities.
