About the Role
As a Construction Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting with various projects across the country. Flexibility regarding work locations is preferred, as you may be required to travel to different sites. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing tasks within your skills and capabilities that are essential for our business operations.
- Ensuring compliance with all contract requirements and delivering customer service that meets or exceeds expectations.
- Erecting scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
- Creating structures, forms, or chutes and pouring concrete.
- Covering subfloors with building paper to prevent moisture and installing hardwood, parquet, or wood-strip-block floors.
- Filling cracks or defects in plaster or plasterboard and sanding the patches smooth.
- Positioning and securing steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms using appropriate tools.
- General laboring duties such as cleaning construction sites as directed by managers.
- Loading and unloading building materials, tools, and equipment, and transporting them around construction sites.
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
Pay Conditions
The pay range for this position is between $25.00 and $32.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Hours of Work
We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work per week for this role.
Requirements
We prefer candidates with some experience in the construction industry, but it is not essential. The following skills and attributes are essential:

- Reliability and a hardworking attitude.
Location
This position may require you to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand, including but not limited to Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
