About the Role:
As a Casual Programme Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supervising and assisting children during programme activities. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the environment is always clean, tidy, hygienic, and safe for children, staff, parents, and visitors. You will assist the Programme Manager in running the daily schedule as outlined in the task list. Additionally, you will report any concerns regarding children or behavioral issues back to the Programme Manager.
Hours of Work:
This position is on an as-needed basis, primarily scheduled Monday through Friday within the before and after school timeframes. Most of your shifts will occur during the after school period. There may also be opportunities to work during holiday programmes at various sKids locations in the area.
The after school schedule runs from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, while the before school schedule is from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM, but only as required.
Your primary location will be Oxford Crescent School in Upper Hutt, Wellington, with potential shifts available at Boulcott School as well.
Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Hold a valid visa to work in New Zealand without restrictions
- Have reliable transportation, preferably a vehicle, to commute to the specified site
- Possess a keen interest in working in similar industries
- Have previous experience working with children, whether through babysitting or volunteer work
