About the Company:
sKids was established in 1996 by two parents who recognized the need for a structured out-of-school care service for primary-aged children. Today, we are proud to be New Zealand’s favorite kids' hangout, serving over 3,800 tamariki daily at more than 170 school sites. About the Role:
As a Casual Programme Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include supervising and assisting children with program activities. You will ensure that the environment remains clean, tidy, hygienic, and safe for all children, staff, parents, and visitors at all times. You will also assist the Programme Manager in running the daily schedule and reporting any concerns regarding children's behavior or other issues.
Your hours of work will be scheduled based on need, primarily Monday through Friday, during our before and after school programs. The majority of your shifts will occur in the after school timeframe, with potential opportunities in holiday programs as well.
The after school schedule runs from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, while the before school schedule is from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM, but only as needed.
Location of work: Newlands School, Newlands, Wellington.
Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Hold a valid visa to work in New Zealand without restrictions
- Have reliable transportation, ideally a vehicle, to commute to the specified site
- Possess a keen interest in working in similar industries
- Have prior experience working with children, which can include babysitting or volunteer work
