About the Role
We are currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Advanced Clinician Physiotherapist to join our Adult Community Services team at Te Toka Tumai Auckland. This permanent role is part-time, with a commitment of 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week).
In this position, you will provide specialized continence assessments and interventions for adults living in the community. You will serve as a clinical resource and advisor to nursing and allied health staff, leading education and quality improvement initiatives in continence care. Additionally, you will engage in service development and research to enhance continence services and collaborate with whanau and community providers to ensure equitable and accessible care. A current Vulnerable Children's Act (VCA) clearance is required for this role.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Nurse or Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and hold a postgraduate qualification in continence care or a related field. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of five years of clinical experience, including working at a senior or advanced practice level.
A strong understanding of continence assessment, treatment planning, and education is essential, as well as the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across primary and secondary services. A demonstrated commitment to equity, partnership under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and culturally responsive care is crucial. Additionally, a full, clean New Zealand driver's license is necessary.
