About the Company
At NZCL, we are committed to providing support for individuals with disabilities throughout New Zealand. Our Disability Support Services are rooted in the belief that every New Zealander deserves the opportunity to live fully, access equal opportunities, and achieve their personal ambitions. We prioritize creating a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can build confidence, develop new skills, and foster friendships within the community. Our dedicated teams are our most valuable asset, and we strive to recruit and train the best individuals to join us.
About the Role
We are currently seeking permanent, part-time Support Workers in Masterton for our Whanau Support Services. In this role, you will assist individuals in their homes and communities, enabling them to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. You will help them pursue their personal dreams and goals, engaging in activities that they enjoy, such as swimming, attending sporting events, participating in arts and crafts, going to the movies, or shopping. The possibilities are endless.
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others and exhibit kindness and understanding. While previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred—especially with youth—what matters most is your enthusiasm for supporting others in learning new skills and achieving their goals.
A full driver's license and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role. We seek candidates who are energetic, outgoing, and capable of thinking creatively to help others achieve their aspirations. It is crucial that you approach this role with empathy, respect, and cultural awareness, as the individuals we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
Benefits
We offer competitive pay rates ranging from $23.50 to $29.10 per hour. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to earn while you learn through free training towards NZQA Health and Wellbeing qualifications. Our employees enjoy job security with benefits such as sick and annual leave, a travel allowance, and access to our Employee Assistance Program for health and wellbeing support. We also provide a 'Refer a Friend' bonus to encourage you to bring like-minded individuals into our team.
If you are passionate about supporting people and believe you would be a good fit for our team, we invite you to apply.
