Description
About the Company
At MindFull Support, we prioritize your well-being because when you are supported, our clients benefit too. Our mission is to create an environment that fosters growth and resilience, ensuring that both our staff and those we serve feel valued and empowered.
About the Role
We are currently seeking passionate, grounded, and adventurous Support Workers to join our team in the region. In this role, you will work closely with rangatahi and tangata whaiora, focusing primarily on trauma-related issues.
What MindFull Offers You
We believe in promoting a real work-life balance. Our shifts are organized in 24-hour blocks, allowing you to work 48 to 72 hours and enjoy 4 to 5 days off each week.
You will also have the opportunity to travel with clients across the North Island, contributing to enriching experiences that enhance their lives.
We pride ourselves on our supportive team culture, where our office staff is dedicated to uplifting you. We offer ongoing learning and development opportunities, including clinical and cultural supervision, ensuring that you continue to grow in your role.
Your voice matters here; we encourage you to share your ideas on how the company operates. We value a workplace that emphasizes mana-enhancing, trauma-informed support, and we strive to create a unique environment that rejects ego and hierarchical titles.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need a full NZ driver’s license and a reliable vehicle that has a current WOF and registration. A NZQA Level 4 or higher qualification in a health or youth-related field is essential, along with experience working in the community or health sector with rangatahi.
You will thrive in this role if you can think quickly and maintain composure in crisis situations. Confidence in high-risk environments and an understanding of complex needs are crucial. Familiarity with mental health approaches, such as de-escalation and active listening, is expected.
Strong professional boundaries and a reflective practice are necessary for success in this role. We value individuals who enjoy building genuine relationships and being part of a close-knit team. Cultural awareness and a mana-enhancing approach to support are also important. Additionally, you should be open to casual, flexible hours that align with your lifestyle.
This position offers more than a typical healthcare job; we are driven by our values and mission. Here, you are not just a support worker; you are part of a team that genuinely cares and strives to effect change from within the system.
