About the Role We are looking for an experienced communications professional to join our team as the National Communications Manager for Harcourts New Zealand, based in Auckland. This full-time position plays a crucial role in shaping and amplifying the voice of Harcourts on a national scale. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, you will be responsible for creating and leading effective communications across various platforms. In this role, you will craft internal updates, produce media releases, and build relationships with journalists and influencers to ensure Harcourts maintains a strong presence in the real estate industry. Key Responsibilities - Create and edit internal communications and video scripts for our Managing Director. - Source and publish engaging content for blogs, newsletters, and corporate publications. - Manage media relations and act as the main point of contact for journalists and media outlets. - Collaborate with the National Marketing Manager to lead and evolve our social media strategy. - Enhance our market presence through storytelling, public relations, and online engagement. - Deliver various communications projects, including speech writing, award submissions, and campaign support. About You The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a communications or public relations role, along with excellent writing, editing, and interpersonal skills. You should possess the ability to develop and implement strategic communications plans and have established relationships in the media industry or the ambition to build them. A collaborative mindset is essential, along with the ability to work with multiple senior stakeholders. You should be comfortable managing deadlines, content priorities, and messaging across various platforms, all while maintaining a professional and warm demeanor that aligns with Harcourts' people-first culture. Familiarity with email marketing platforms, such as Mailchimp, is also advantageous.
