Our farm, located in West Eyreton, is spread across 400 effective hectares and milks 950 cows using a 60-bale rotary system. About the Role We are currently seeking a Dairy Farm Assistant to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will assist with a variety of farm tasks, including milking, calving, feeding stock, effluent management, spraying, and fencing. Your contributions will be vital to our daily operations, and you will work closely with your team to meet our production and animal welfare goals. We provide full training and support, encouraging you to take initiative, develop your skills, and assist newer team members. This position is well-suited for individuals with a strong work ethic and a passion for farming. About You We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and actively contribute to the team's success. Ideally, you will have: - Experience in a similar dairy farming role, or a strong interest in developing your skills in this area - Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team - A proactive attitude with a commitment to animal welfare and health and safety - The ability to coach and support junior or new staff when necessary - A current New Zealand restricted or full driver’s licence Benefits We offer a competitive salary package that includes health and life insurance, enhanced parental leave benefits, and up to 4% KiwiSaver matching.
