About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced social worker to join our comprehensive Family Start home visiting service. This program focuses on enhancing child health, family health, and social and educational outcomes for children and families with higher needs. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your clinical knowledge and insights to support the well-being of families throughout the Rotorua area as a member of this established and well-supported service. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will possess the following attributes: - A qualification in social work, ideally with registration or actively working towards it. - Demonstrated competencies in social work, with the ability to apply a range of evidence-based practices and assessment tools when working with children and their families. - Effective written and oral communication skills. - Knowledge and understanding of the determinants of health inequities and their impact on pēpī/tamariki and their families. - An understanding of whānau, hapū, iwi, and the implications of Te Tiriti o Waitangi for Māori health and well-being.
