About the Role
We are currently seeking a Second-in-Charge (2IC) to support our operations in the Building Zone, with a particular emphasis on the Trade Drive Thru area. This is a permanent position, offering 40 hours of work per week, from Tuesday to Saturday.
Working in the Trade Drive Thru presents an exciting and fast-paced environment. Our dedicated team is composed of individuals with a wealth of trade knowledge and customer service experience. The Building Zone assists customers with a variety of trade needs, including timber, plasterboard, power tools, and much more.
What You Can Expect to Do in This Role
In this position, you will be responsible for leading, motivating, and fostering a strong team culture that aligns with our company values. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with all internal and external policies, including Health & Safety guidelines.
Collaboration will be key as you work closely with the Building Zone Manager and Team Leaders to meet departmental targets. You will oversee operational processes related to stock management and profit protection, striving to minimize shrinkage. Emphasizing a 'One Team' approach, you will provide friendly and helpful service to all customers, from local tradespeople to enthusiastic DIYers.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess a genuine passion for customer service. You should demonstrate an organized approach, reliability, and efficient time management skills. A positive "can-do" attitude and flexibility to handle ad-hoc tasks are essential.
We value a strong drive for success, accuracy, and attention to detail. The ability to work effectively within a large team while maintaining an honest and fair mindset is crucial. Candidates should also be capable of meeting the manual handling requirements of the role and have proven leadership experience.
