About the Role As a Produce Supervisor, you will collaborate closely with the Produce Manager to oversee the daily operations of our department. Your focus will be on maintaining high standards of quality, availability, presentation, and productivity. Early mornings will be part of your routine, as you will set the tone and pace for the team each day. Key Responsibilities - Support the delivery of high standards regarding stock quality, freshness, and availability. - Prioritize and organize tasks for the team to ensure efficient department operations. - Coach team members and assist with the onboarding and training of new staff. - Lead by example in productivity and service while ensuring compliance with food safety standards. - Assist with staff rosters, timekeeping, and tracking team performance. - Provide excellent customer service and confidently address customer inquiries. - Communicate team needs and development opportunities to leadership. - Support the Produce Manager with store-wide initiatives as needed. What You Will Bring We are looking for a supportive leader who demonstrates calmness, clarity, and care in their approach. Preferred but not essential qualifications include: - Retail or fresh food experience. - A background in customer service. - Unit standards in Food Safety and Workplace Health and Safety. - Comfort with numbers and basic technology or stock systems.
