About the Role We are excited to announce a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Auto Electrician to join our expanding team. In this role, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for maintaining vehicle electrical systems and associated equipment. Key responsibilities include: - Conducting daily checks of all vehicle workshop tools and equipment to ensure serviceability and accountability - Working in accordance with our Preventative Maintenance Programme (PMP) - Maintaining vehicle loading scales, communication devices, and on-board tablet systems - Performing technical inspections - Keeping a register of all maintenance work in progress and vehicle records by documenting inspections, servicing, and repairs on job sheets and in the in-cab vehicle history file - Updating job processing in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) - Requisitioning repair parts and associated consumables Requirements We are seeking candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in heavy road vehicle electrical systems and a Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering. Ideal qualifications and skills include: - Experience in automotive electrical fault diagnosis and familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems - Exposure to hydraulic systems diagnostics and maintenance is desirable - A Class 2 or Class 4 driver's license would be advantageous We are looking for someone who can work autonomously yet thrives in a team environment. A positive, can-do attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for the work are essential. Our workshop facility is modern and equipped with state-of-the-art tools. You will become part of a dedicated team that provides a 24-hour, 7-day call-out response on a roster basis.
