About the Role
We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Hornby. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing joinery components such as kitchens, wardrobes, stairs, and vanities using CNC flatbed routers and edgebanders. Your day-to-day tasks will include programming, operating, and maintaining these machines while collaborating with other machinists to ensure a smooth workflow.
This position is full-time, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, offering a minimum of 40 hours per week. We provide competitive pay ranging from $33 to $38 per hour, depending on your operating and programming experience. Additionally, we offer time and a half for any hours worked beyond 45 in a week.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience working in a joinery factory, particularly with MDF, Melamine, and timber.
- Proficiency in CNC operating, specifically with routers and edgebanders.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for preparing CNC files for production, with a focus on minimizing waste.
- A team-oriented attitude, contributing positively to our workplace culture.
- Reliability and a strong commitment to safety practices.
- A passion for delivering high-quality work and ensuring components meet our standards.
