About the Role
We are excited to offer a permanent, full-time position for an experienced Perfusionist to join our main Cardiac Centre at Auckland City Hospital. Our Cardiothoracic surgical unit is the highest volume unit in Australasia, and a subset of our perfusionists also provide perfusion services for the Starship Children's Hospital Cardiac service.
About the Team/Service/Location
The Cardiothoracic Service at Auckland City Hospital provides a comprehensive range of cardiac surgeries, including those for ischemic and rheumatic heart disease, aortic surgeries, and heart, lung, and liver transplants, with an annual adult caseload of approximately 1,200 procedures. Our unit also serves as the national ECMO center, which includes a retrieval service.

About You
We are seeking candidates who meet the following requirements:
- A Postgraduate Diploma or Master's degree in Perfusion, with certification from the Australasian Board of Perfusion or equivalent (American, UK, or European Boards).
- Familiarity with Stockert S5 heart-lung machines is desirable, and experience with Stockert Connect is preferable.
- Previous experience working as a Perfusionist.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
