About the Role
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Trade Sales Assistant to join our Trade Centre located in Hornby, Christchurch. This is a fixed-term position that will run until August 29, 2025. The role is part-time, requiring 34 hours of work per week.
In this position, you will engage with customers to understand their needs and present suitable solutions from our extensive range of products and services. Delivering exceptional customer service is paramount, ensuring that our customers remain the top priority. You will collaborate with support teams to accurately meet customer requirements and assist in maintaining store presentation and visual merchandising standards. Additionally, you will manage stock levels, oversee stock rotation, and handle the packing and dispatch of goods to and from the store.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will possess a strong retail or sales background, with previous experience in selling products such as power tools, hardware, or safety footwear being advantageous, though not essential. A positive attitude, energy, and a desire to learn and grow are crucial traits we seek. We have successfully welcomed team members from various retail and sales industries who share these characteristics.
We are looking for someone who is sales-driven and eager to exceed targets, while also being rewarded for high performance. A friendly, outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative spirit are essential. You should be a problem solver who can effectively navigate challenging situations, while maintaining a passion for customer service and a proactive approach. Physical fitness and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are also important.
