About the Role
We are seeking empathetic and passionate Support Workers to join our Community Services team in the Rangiora area. This position offers a permanent, part-time opportunity that provides flexibility to accommodate other commitments.
As a Support Worker, you will be an essential part of a team dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals and maximize their potential. You will provide both practical and emotional support to assist clients in living independently within their homes and communities.
Your responsibilities will vary and may include the following tasks outlined in a care plan:
- Meal preparation
- Community outings and integration
- Medication management
- Personal care (e.g., showering, toileting)
- Home management (e.g., housework)
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a genuine desire to help and support others, striving for excellence in every aspect of their work. While previous healthcare or caregiving experience is desirable, it is not essential.
Key qualifications include:
- Excellent communication skills
- Healthcare qualifications are advantageous
- A full New Zealand driver's license and reliable transport are typically required
