About the Role We are currently seeking motivated and detail-oriented Traffic Management Workers to join our team as soon as possible. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating traffic flow, implementing traffic control measures, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining smooth operations and safety within our transportation networks. Requirements Experience: While previous experience in traffic management or a related field is preferred, we provide comprehensive on-the-job training for the right candidates. Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations. Certifications: TTM, TMO, and STMS certifications are preferred. Licenses: A full Class 1 license is essential, while a Class 2 license is preferred. Physical Fitness: Candidates should be physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Pre-employment Checks: Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand and will undergo checks including MOJ, ACC, and a drug test. Key Responsibilities Traffic Control: You will implement and manage traffic control plans, setting up road signs, cones, and barriers to ensure the safe and efficient flow of traffic. Coordination: Collaborating with local authorities, contractors, and the public will be essential in coordinating traffic management activities and addressing any arising issues. Monitoring: You will monitor traffic conditions and respond promptly to incidents or disruptions, making necessary adjustments to traffic control measures. Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of traffic management activities and preparing reports as required will be part of your responsibilities. Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all traffic management practices comply with relevant safety regulations and standards is crucial.
