About the Company
At Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, we are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services across New Zealand, grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Our commitment is to build a health system that serves all New Zealanders effectively and compassionately.
About the Role
We are currently seeking a New Zealand Registered Clinical Psychologist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position, requiring 40 hours of work per week, from Monday to Friday.
In this role, you will focus on providing psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions for older adults, particularly those experiencing acute mental health challenges or behavioural difficulties related to dementia. You will work directly with Tangata Whaiora (people seeking wellness), delivering evidence-based best practices and developing specialized care and management plans that prioritize non-pharmacological interventions.
You will collaborate with the wider team to design care plans that advocate for Tangata Whaiora’s goals and support positive risk-taking. Additionally, you will engage in case management and participate in an Urgent Clinician roster to ensure comprehensive support for our clients.
As this is a community-based position, a full and clean driver's license is essential.
