About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join our Martinborough Rural Supplies team. In this role, you will lead a small team of Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) to deliver technical sales advice and services to a diverse range of agricultural customers. You will oversee the efficient and profitable operation of the store, ensuring alignment with our company strategy and values.
Collaboration with our Technical Field Representatives (TFRs) in the region will be crucial as we work together to enhance our market share and business presence within the community. Your responsibilities will also include administration, compliance, inventory management, and staff leadership. Strong computer skills, alongside excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities, will be essential for success in this position. We seek someone who is highly organized and enjoys working autonomously while engaging with a variety of customers and colleagues.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively manage the store team, including coaching, conducting appraisals, and supporting individual and team development.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities with both existing and potential clients.
- Complete necessary store administration and inventory management processes according to approved company procedures.
- Prepare, submit, and monitor annual sales budgets for your store.
Skills and Experience
- Proven leadership, management, and sales skills, preferably in a retail environment.
- Knowledge and experience in the New Zealand agricultural sector, along with technical expertise.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with both your team and our customers.
- A background in administration and inventory management is highly valued.
- A full, current New Zealand driver's license is required.
